About

Ms Esther Akao is a Public Health and Gender /GBV Specialist with over 15 years’ experience leading design, implementation and monitoring of programs in emergencies and humanitarian settings. Esther has hands on technical skills delivering Technical programs using programming models that prevents and responds to the consequences of HIV/AIDS, SGBV, Child Protection Mental Health and Psychosocial distress, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Social Inclusion. With a niche in adolescent and young women programming, Esther has worked with Governments, international organizations and Non-Government organizations like Uganda Ministry of Health, the World Bank Group, CARE International, Elisabeth Glaser Foundation, Lutheran World Federation, and CESVI. At RubiAid Foundation International she provides strategic guidance on public health, SGBV, HIV/IDs, MHPSS and SRHR programs ensuring they are innovative, sustainable and responsive to the needs of communities.
